Outstanding Softball Prospect

Personal Message

I’ve played more sports than I can count since I could walk, but there was something about softball that made me want to stick with it. Maybe it was the challenge of the many aspects of the game or the chance to be like the boys but to have my own game alike and unlike baseball. I’ve always had the drive, passion, and courage toward anything I wanted to accomplish whether it is coming through during the clutch or acing a test at school. No matter how hard I was on myself through the slumps and the high points, I persevered to end up on top. I love my family and friends and I love the game, and I cannot thank them enough for their support. Whether it is raining, July heat, or unpredictable winter cold, they have always been around to cheer me on. My family has put much aside to assist me in achieving my goal to play college softball. I plan to continue life as if it were a game, rolling with the punches through the ups and downs of life, and not looking back with any regret. This game has taught me more than just how to be a great teammate and player but to be the right person as well. I am ready to open another chapter in my book of life, and I am prepared to use the many skills I have obtained over the few but many years to succeed in what life may throw at me or reward me with. "Let’s play ball."

Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air.  No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. 1 Corinthians 9:25-27
